Organizational friction

Friction is structural before it becomes personal.

Most organizational conflict begins in structures: unclear ownership, competing targets, missing handovers or bottlenecked decisions.

When those are left unresolved, people explain the friction with personalities. At that point the cost rises sharply and the fix becomes political.

This is why Culture State analyses structures, processes and practices rather than individuals.
